SRV2 GRIZZLY
a semi-automatic utility rifle
Overview
The SRV2-H “Grizzly” is a semi-auto rifle made specifically for Marksman or Sniper operations. The SRV2-H can be chambered in 7.62N, .308 and 6.5 Creedmoor and comes with a standard choice of barrel lengths. It is a gas-operated short stroke piston gun that offers modularity, flexibility and adaptability through a number of new features:
The serial number of the SRV2-H is located on a trigger pack, that drops into a high-strength polymer/glass lower receiver. This allows operators to also drop their trigger pack into an SRV2-L Badger frame when when a select fire assault rifle is required. The trigger pack acts as skeleton to create even more stiffness in the lower receiver and eliminates the possibility of trigger pins from walking out over prolonged use.
The barrel assembly is a trunion style design that can be changed out by the operator in under 3 minutes with no special tools other than a standard alan key. This allows a quick switch of barrel lengths or caliber change between .308 and 6.5 Creedmoor.
The SRV2-H upper receiver is monolithic allowing a stiff, continious picatinny rail system for the integrated use any in-line electro-optics or devices. This makes the SRV2-H an accurate semi-automatic rifle that is suitable for Sniper operations.
The SRV2-H allows for rear and/or forward left and right charging. The rifle comes standard with the option of using an M4 style rear charging handle or a low profile, non-reciprocating, forward charging handle on either the left or right side.
VERSATILE
High parts commonality and similar operator training throughout the SRV2 line result in minimal training time and maintenance costs. Controls are similar to the M4, but the SRV2-H also allows for left and right forward charing as well for a more ergonomical fit. The barrel can be changed out in under 3 minutes for a new calibre or length and the monolithic upper receiver allow for multiple optics/devices on the same plane.
TRIGGER PACK
The SRV2-H uses a serialized trigger pack that can drop into any of the SRV2 family of guns. This allows for reduced logistics and the ability for an operator to switch platforms without a change in trigger feel or serial number. The trigger pack is made of aircraft grade aluminum and works as a skeleton, giving the already high strength polymer/glass lower additional stiffness and trigger pin protection.
Adjustable Gas Block
The SRV2-H comes with an adjustable gas block. The Gas Block has three distinct settings which can be changed with an alan key or any tool with a flat end similar to a flat tip screw driver. The rifle will run military grade ammunition on all three settings, however setting one limits gas for suppressor use, setting two is for general use and setting three is for times when additional gas is required to move the bolt back fully.
